ホテル外部 Voltrona Farm was one of the first farm holiday centres to be opened in Tuscany; it is family run and for over twenty years it has constantly provided outstanding country hospitality.
Since 1984, we have continued to renew the structure by renovating the buildings and investing in specialised crops.
Extensive gardens surround the farmhouses at Voltrona where our guests may relax or read a book. The farm has rooms with bath and shower, and families and groups of friends will appreciate the home cooking of authentic Tuscan dishes. Dinner is served every evening in the barn or under the stars on the terrace, where a genuine feast of flavours can be had in the company of the other guests who end the day toasting and sharing their travel stories. Voltrona’s terrace offers a fabulous panoramic view over the valley below and is the ideal place to refresh yourself with a bottle of wine.
While there you can pass the time hiking, horseback riding and cycling along country roads, through forests, villages, archeological sites and rural hamlets. You also can fish in the Farm’s pound and, of course, take a dip in the swimming pool that is at our guests’ disposal.
The assistance is guaranteed by our staff: we speak Italian, English, French, Swedish, German, Spanish.

ダブルルーム Voltrona Farm has been renovated without modifying its rural simplicity and the bedrooms therefore reflect this choice. There is no television or air-conditioning. They are simple, warm, essential and comfortable rooms.
Towels and sheets are provided. Towels are changed every three days. Sheets are changed once a week. If you use the same towels more than once you will help us to safeguard the environment. With your help, we will use less detergent, reduce water consumption, and use less power. Together, we will improve the quality of the environment! People with special requirements may request more frequent changes when booking or upon arrival.

朝食 Breakfast

The terrace of the main building offers a fine view of the whole of the farm. Breakfast is served on this terrace.

Guests who like getting up early can enjoy a walk in the morning silence before filling up with a sweet and savoury buffet.

Breakfast is served from 7.30 to 10.00.

If requested in advance, groups may have breakfast early or order lunch baskets.

Continental breakfast:

Drinks: coffee, tea, hot and cold milk, fruit juice, water.

アクセス

By car
From the North: leave the A1 motorway at the Florence-Certosa exit and then take the dual-carriageway towards Siena until you reach Poggibonsi. Leave at Poggibonsi-Nord and follow signs to San Gimignano.

From the South: leave the A1 motorway at the "Val di Chiana-Bettolle" exit and follow signs to Siena. At Siena take the dual-carriageway towards Firenze and leave at the Poggibonsi Nord exit (not at the Colle Val d'Elsa exit even though it is marked San Gimignano as this will lengthen your journey). From Poggibonsi follow signs to San Gimignano.

From all directions: Once you get to San Gimignano, take the main road for Volterra (turn left at the first roundabout after going past the town sign; there is a car park to the right of the roundabout); after 4.0 Km at San Donato (a small village near San Gimignano) you will see a sign reading "Voltrona 1.6 km". Turn left and follow the signs to "Agriturismo Voltrona". Voltrona lies at the end of a gravel road 1.5 km away from San Donato.

The closest train station is Poggibonsi.

By airplane
The closest airports are Pisa and Firenze.

By public transportation
By public transports you can get to Poggibonsi by train, than catch a bus to San Gimignano.
From San Gimignano to our farm there is no public transport, you have to take a taxi.
