Flights to Catalina Island leave from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), John Wayne Orange County Airport, and Long Beach Airport.

By helicopter
The Island Express Helicopter Service is available from San Pedro and takes approximately 15 minutes. You can also arrange transportation from Newport Beach with the Catalina Flyer (800-830-7744); from Marina Del Rey with Sea Planes (operates seasonally, 800-66-FERRY); and from Dana Point, CA with Catalina Explorer (877-432-6276).

By boat
Catalina Express Boat terminals are located in Long Beach, San Pedro or Dana Point Harbor; express boats take approximately 60-90 minutes to reach the Catalina Island.
Catalina Ferry Boat terminals are located in Marina Del Rey; ferries take approximately 90 minutes to reach the island.
