The Royal hotel is housed in a magnificent, late-18th century villa located in a quiet area of Florence, only 500 metres away from the Santa Maria Novella railway station, the Palazzo dei Congressi Convention Hall, and the historic centre.

The villa, former residence of the owners until 1950, was turned into a hotel and, in 1990, completely restored under new management by the Messina family.

The property features ample on-site parking facilities and a beautiful garden, and offers guests the convenience of close proximity to all most important monuments, museums and commercial streets, together with the certainty of a relaxing stay away from the metropolitan traffic.

The hotel offers comfortable standard and superior rooms, each elegantly decorated with Florentine-style furniture.

All rooms feature a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, individually controlled air-conditioning, heating, mini safe, writing desk, mini bar, remote control satellite TV, and direct dial telephone with high-speed Internet access. Baby cots are provided upon request.

Most accommodations overlook the garden, and several also have a private balcony.

By car
The hotel is easy to reach from the A1 highway: take any exit to Firenze and follow the indications Centro and then to Viali di Circonvallazione. When you arrive near the Fortezza da Basso, drive along the tree-lined Spartaco Lavagnini avenue. Half way up the avenue, before the traffic lights, turn right on Via S. Caterina d'Alessandria following the signs to the hotels and to the Firenze-Santa Maria Novella central railway station. Then turn first left into Via delle Ruote, where the property is located.

By train
The Santa Maria Novella railway station is a 15-minute walk from the hotel: follow Via Nazionale, Piazza Indipendenza, Via S. Caterina d'Alessandria and then make a right turn into Via delle Ruote.
You can also reach the hotel by taxi, easily found at the station, or by one of the several bus lines available: 1, 7, 10, 17 or 25 and get off at Piazza San Marco. Bus tickets should be bought in advance at one of the newspaper stands inside the train station.

By airplane
The Firenze-Amerigo Vespucci airport is approximately 8 km away. You can reach the hotel by taxi or by the Airport Shuttle bus, which connects to the Santa Maria Novella railway station, and then follow the above-said directions.
