Lacco Ameno is the smallest town of the island of Ischia, characterized by a mushroom-shaped rock in the middle of the sea, a beautiful example of wind and sea erosion.

What was once a Greek Western colony (9th century B.C.), is nowadays a renowned tourist destination. Don't miss the church of S. Restituta (4th century B.C.), the protector saint of the island, with its museum and three layers of excavations dating back to the Magna Grecia, Roman and Paleochristian period. Other attractions include Villa Arbusto, built in 1785 by Carlo d'Acquaviva where a Bronze Age settlement lied, as well as the Torre Aragonese, built in the 15th century by Alfonso d'Aragona as a siege tower of the Saracens ships.

アクセス

By ferry or hydrofoil
From the harbour of Napoli Pozzuoli, take the ferry boat or hydrofoil to the port of Casamicciola Terme-Ischia. From there reach Piazza Marina, exit from Casamicciola and proceed towards Lacco Ameno. Continue along the coastal road and then turn left onto Via Circumvallazione, where the hotel is located.
