Hotel Roncevaux ポー - Venere.com ホテル正面 The capital of Bearn, Pau is a magnificent town steeped in history, yet modern in its outlook offering a host of sporting and cultural opportunities.

Served by three 18 hole golf courses, a motor racing track, and its very own horse racing course and equestrian club, Pau also boasts a large sports stadium, several swimming pools, squash and tennis courts, theatres and cinemas.

Bars, bistrots, top gastronomic restaurants, and Pau's Casino and the "Palais de Congres" conference centre can all be found within a 5 minutes walk of the hotel.

Converted from an ancient monastry, the hotel is in a private courtyard 2 minutes from Pau Castle where Henry IV was born and lived.

The name Roncevaux recalls the famous battle between the invading Sarrasins and Charlemagne who fought side by side with Count Roland.

To locate the hotel from any direction, follow the signs for "centre ville" followed by "Hotel de Ville" and you will find yourself on Rue Louis Barthou which is a one way street. Pass the Town Hall on your left and the hotel Roncevaux is to be found 50 metres futher along on the opposite side of the street.

Arriving by car, turn right, passing under the arch immediately after the shop "New Man".
Please call at the reception for parking availability and a warm welcome.
