The Morris House Hotel, built in 1787, is located in the historic district of Philadelphia known as Society Hill, just two blocks from some of the United States' most important landmarks such as Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell.

Three major hospitals are all within 3 blocks, and the Convention Center is just a ten-minute walk. World class restaurants, the theatre district and the famous South Street with its unique shops, are all a short walk away.

This registered national historic landmark has been renovated into a luxury boutique hotel which offers the coziness of a Bed and Breakfast, in an 18th century setting, combined with the luxuries of today.

The entire building is non-smoking.

Each of the fifteen rooms is decorated with individual charm and remarkable attention to details.

The rooms are all equipped with private bathrooms with shower and/or bath, hairdryer, individually controlled air conditioning, direct dial phone, CD/alarm radio, cable TV with DVD player and smoke alarm.

Iron and ironing board are available upon request, and all windows open for fresh air.

From the Pennsylvania Turnpike exit at Valley Forge. Take Schuylkill Expressway (Rte.76 East) to I-676 East. Continue on I-676 to the 8th St./Chinatown exit. Turn right on 8th (south) and proceed to Locust St. The Morris House Hotel is located on 8th St. between Walnut St. and Locust St.
From I-95 North from Wilmington take exit 22, Independence Hall/Callowhill Street, following signs for Callowhill Street. Proceed on Callowhill to 8th St. (south). Turn left on 8th St. and follow it to Locust Street. The Morris House Hotel is located on 8th St. between Walnut St. and Locust St.
From I-95 South from Bucks County, take exit 22, Independence Hall/Callowhill Street. Turn right onto Callowhill Street and proceed to 8th St. (south). Turn left on 8th and follow it to Locust St. The Morris House Hotel is located on 8th St. between Walnut St. and Locust St.
From New Jersey Shore Points take Atlantic City Expressway north to Rte.42 north. Take the Ben Franklin Bridge. Get in the left-hand lane and follow signs to 8th St. (south). Turn left on 8th St. and proceed to Locust St. The Morris House Hotel is located on 8th St. between Walnut St. and Locust St.
From Central New Jersey, Routes 70 west and 38 west will take you to the Ben Franklin Bridge. Take the bridge into Philadelphia. Get in the left hand lane and follow signs to 8th St. (south). Turn left on 8th St. and proceed to Locust St. The Morris House Hotel is located on 8th St. between Walnut St. and Locust St.
From New York take the New Jersey Turnpike south to exit 4 (Rt. 73 North). Follow to Rt. 38 west, to the Ben Franklin Bridge. Get in the left-hand lane and follow signs to 8 St. (south). Turn left on 8th and proceed to Locust St. The Morris House Hotel is located on 8th St. between Walnut St. and Locust St.

By airplane
From Philadelphia International Airport take I-95 North towards Philadelphia. Take exit 22, Independence Hall/Callowhill Street, following signs for Callowhill Street. Proceed on Callowhill to 8th St. (south). Turn left on 8th and follow it to Locust Street. The Morris House Hotel is located on 8th St. between Walnut St. and Locust St.
