Hotel Stein is a beautiful property situated in the Old Town of Salzburg, right in front of the Staatsbrücke bridge. It is housed in a 600-ear old building, completely renovated in 2004 and integrated with all modern-day amenities.

The hotel features a large breakfast room in the style of the turn of the century. Another highlight is the newly created roof terrace café with its large indoor area, open all year long.

The rooms are decorated with elegant and stylish furniture and either offer views of the Old Town and the Hohensalzburg fortress or are located towards the quiet back lane Steingasse. All rooms are non-smoking.

    From the central railway station: 1.3 km.
    From Salzburg airport: 6 km.

    By car
    From the north, via Munich: stay on the A1 expressway, direction Villach (A10) and take the exit Salzburg Süd. Continue towards the city centre and you will reach the Alpenstraße. Continue to Hellbrunnerstraße. Make a right and cross the Nonntalbrücke bridge, then you will see a roundabout where you must turn left. You are now in the Imbergstraße, follow this street to the Giselakai. The Hotel Stein is located on the right, before the traffic lights.
    From the south, via Villach: stay on the expressway A1, direction Salzburg-Wien and take the exit Salzburg Süd, then follow the aforementioned indications.
    From the east, via Vienna: stay on the expressway A1, direction Salzburg. Change onto the expressway A10, direction Graz-Villach. Take the exit Salzburg Süd and follow the aforementioned indications.

    By train
    From the central railway station, reach the bus terminal and take line n. 1, 3, 5, 6 or 25 towards the city centre. Get off at the fourth stop, Markatplatz. Cross the street, and you will see the Hotel Sacher on your right-hand side. Pass the hotel and follow the Schwarzstraße until you see the Staatsbrücke to your right and the Hotel Stein on the left.

    By airplane
    From Salzburg-W. A. Mozart airport, follow the Innsbrucker Bundesstraße towards Zentrum. After around 3 km you have to turn left onto the Rudolf-Biebl-Straße. Then turn right onto the Ignaz-Harrer-Straße. Follow this street to the next main street after the Lehener Brücke, called Saint Julien Straße. Then turn right onto the Schwarzstraße. After about 700 metres you will automatically pass the Staatsbrücke, turn left and stay on this street up to the traffic circle, turn left and pass the Nonntalbrücke. At the next traffic circle, on the other side of the river, turn left again onto the Imbergstraße. This street leads you to the Giselakai, where you will see our hotel on the right-hand side, right in front of the traffic lights.
